Pokemon Lot Valuer — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 August 2026

Pokemon Lot Valuer is a Chrome extension that, on an eBay Pokémon card-lot listing, identifies the individual cards shown in the listing photos and estimates the lot's market value. This policy explains what data the extension processes and why.

Information the extension processes

The extension only does anything when you are on an eBay listing page and you choose to run a valuation. When you do, it processes:

It reads only the eBay page you are actively viewing. It does not read other tabs, your browsing history, or any page outside ebay.com.

How the information is used

The listing photos and details are used solely to detect the cards in the lot, identify each one, retrieve its current market price, and present a valuation back to you in the page. They are not used for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purpose, and are never sold.

Third-party services

To identify cards and price them, our backend service transmits card images and card details to the following third parties strictly for those purposes:

These providers process the data on our behalf to return an identification or a price; they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Information the extension does NOT collect

Data stored on your device

The extension stores only its own configuration (the backend service address and an access token) using Chrome's extension storage. This never leaves your browser except to authenticate your valuation requests to our backend.

Data retention

Listing photos and details are processed to produce your valuation and are not retained for any other use. Any transient copies held by the backend during processing are used only to complete that request.
